Choosing The Right Colors For You

A 4-frame self-acceptance and color therapy webcomic strip featuring colorful heart characters. Upper Left: A pink heart character is seated at a table holding an open manila file folder. Text on the front reads: Operation Speak With Confidence on the front. There is a whiteboard on the wall behind them with photos of 4 other heart characters on the board. Text under each photo reads: Red, Red Orange, Golden Yellow, Royal Blue. Upper Right: A red-orange heart character stands in front of the board behind the pink heart. Text above the red-orange heart reads: What are you doing? Lower Left:The pink heart has closed the folder and is looking towards the red-orange heart. Text above the pink heart reads: Trying to find the best color for the job. Lower: Both the red-orange and pink heart characters stand in front of the whiteboard. The table is now gone. The pink heart hands the folder to the red heart. Text above the pink heart reads: Congratulations.

I have a running list of things my friends have said that helped me interrogate how I viewed my career, business, achievements, productivity and success.

I use that list in the same way l use color therapy.

To remind myself

  • to take care of myself first,
  • To cut anything that makes me feel bad about myself,
  • And that one mistake, setback, or decision won’t completely derail my plans.

I want you to remember it too.

How much of your identity is wrapped up in what you do? How much of your worth is wrapped up in it?
